Styx was started in 1991 by a high school student in Las Cruces, NM: Darkwing. He was soon joined by Angus who became primarily responsible for the mud. Both Darkwing and Angus have been removed from the mud by later administrators and much has changed since the early days, when Styx was located on dreamtime.nmsu.edu.
